The Head Clerks have been redesignated as Assistants as per the 5th CPC recommendations with effect from 1-1-1996 and the recommeded scale of Rs.5000 - 8000 is allowed to all Head Clerks w.e.f 1-1-1996 and the recommedations as per 6th CPC are accepted and orders issued by the Directorate for implementation on 28-1-2011.
In fact the Assistants in CSS are Group `B` Non-gazetted in PB 2:- Rs.7450 - 225 - 11500 ( Pre-revised ) With Grade Pay of Rs.4600-00.
AS per the recommedations of the 6th CPC Head Clerks are given grade pay Rs.4600/- and Office Superintendents are given grade pay of Rs.4800/- for thel first 4 years and later on Rs.5400/- in CPWD. Case will be referred to the Directorate shortly about the differences in Grade Pay of Head Clerks and Office Superintendents of our Postal Civil Wing and similarly situated department CPWD.
